What does democracy mean in a rapidly changing world? How can we engage young citizens in shaping the future of their city? Making Democracy is an innovative project by the Serious Products Lab and the Cyprus Interaction Lab of the Cyprus University of Technology, in collaboration with Lemesos 2030.
Through interactive workshops, artistic interventions, and digital tools, this initiative explores how participation, co-creation, and dialogue can strengthen an individual’s understanding of democracy. By bringing together communities, artists, and researchers, Making Democracy creates a toolkit that can promote participatory and interactive education around democracy.
The project is not just about discussing democracy, but about putting it into practice.
The scientific outcomes of this initiative are documented and processed by the CYENS research centre. Activities take place at the Makers Will Make Open Access Makerspace and the MGA Makerspace of the Cyprus University of Technology.
